有四种连接器类型可用于端接塑料光纤：单芯、单芯锁定、双芯和双芯锁定。 所有连接器在与多功能链接组件配合时均提供卡扣操作。 单芯连接器采用颜色编码，以便于识别发射器和接收器连接。 双芯连接器带有键控，可确保插入时方向正确。 如果 POF 光缆或连接器将在极端工作温度下使用或经历频繁且广泛的温度循环影响，则可以使用 RTV 粘合剂来加固光缆/连接器连接。
